Kwangmoon So is an alternative investment specialist, currently working at the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Korea. Mr. So has been with the Ministry since April 2014 and has worked for various divisions where he has managed funds of USD 20 billion and supervised all of the national funds in Korea as well as Korea's trust funds entrusted to the World Bank Group. He previously worked at accounting firm (KPMG), investment bank (UBS Securities), and investment company (Kyowon Invest) where he has managed alternative investments (average 8%+ IRR), from 2006 to 2014.
He holds a Master's degree in Public Management from the KDI School of Public Policy and Management and a bachelor's degree in Business from Korea University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and Financial Risk Manager (FRM). He served his military duty in the US Army (2003-2005).
